Tradition & Precision at Shihō Kai Dōjō

Aïkibudō, Daitō-ryū, and Tenshinshō-den Katori Shintō-ryū

An Authentic Martial Tradition

In the heart of Montreal, Shihō Kai Dōjō embodies the living heritage of the great Japanese martial traditions. Our dojo is a place of faithful transmission, where the Aïkibudō of Maître Alain Floquet, as taught by Maître Raymond Damblant, the Daitō-ryū, and Kobudō, according to the tradition of Tenshinshō-den Katori Shintō-ryū, are studied with rigour and respect.

Each discipline is approached with careful attention to technical precision and depth of tradition, ensuring a practice that is both authentic and profoundly enriching. We honour the lineage of transmission while cultivating a disciplined, sincere study of the martial arts.

A Practice Rooted in Precision and Respect

Training at Shihō Kai Dōjō goes far beyond physical exercise. It is grounded in a continuous pursuit of detail, accuracy, and technical refinement. Precision of movement lies at the core of our teaching, allowing each practitioner to develop subtle control and a deep understanding of structure, timing, distance, and intention.

This commitment to exactness distinguishes our dojo. Here, technique and spirit are inseparable, and progress is measured not only by skill but by clarity, composure, and presence.

A Path of Body–Mind Transformation

Shihō Kai Dōjō offers a true martial path, a journey of personal transformation. Within our training space, body and mind evolve together in harmony, fostering discipline, self-mastery, and inner development.

Our dojo is a place where tradition remains alive while meeting the realities of modern life.

Through the practice of authentic Japanese martial arts, each student is invited to cultivate resilience, deepen awareness, and grow beyond physical technique toward a fuller expression of martial character.
